First Meeting of 2012 is Tuesday, January 24, 6:30 pm

Join us as we kick-off the year with installation of new officers, a legislative update from our DeSoto Republican Party Chairman Kevin Blackwell, and guest speaker, Mark Gardner, DeSoto County Supervisor for District 2.  We will have light refreshments and information about our club.

DeSoto County Republican Club hosts 2nd Annual Celebration!

All DeSoto County Republicans are invited to celebrate the 2 YEAR anniversary of the Club on Tuesday, September 27th at 6:30 pm. This event is being held at the Bank Plus Training Center building in Southaven (located at 7168 Moore Drive).

Congressman Alan Nunnelee is our guest, and we plan to host local candidates and elected officials. Come with your questions! Also, bring your appetite for something deeeeelicious created especially for the event by the Brown Baguette Bakery in Southaven.

All are welcome! Feel free to bring your older children and teens, too. This is a great event for families and ALL DeSoto County Republicans. You don't have to be a member of the Club to attend, nor will you be pressured to become one! Just come out and be among fellow Republicans!

Old Fashioned Republican Rally slated for Monday, October 3rd!

Pat Nelson, candidate for State Representative (District 40), plans to host an "Old Fashioned Republican Rally" on Monday, October 3rd from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  This fun event is being held at First Choice Catering (5905 Scott Blvd in Horn Lake - just off Hwy 51 and Nail Rd) where catfish and hushpuppies will be served.  Events hosts include Delbert Hosemann, Steve Simpson, Tate Reeves, Mike Tagert and Cindy Hyde-Smith.

Ballot Initiatives to be the focus in October!

At it's October meeting, the DeSoto County Republican Club will focus on three ballot initiatives that will appear on the November ballot.

• Personhood
•  Voter ID
• Eminent Domain

Come join us on Tuesday, October 25th, to learn about each initiative so that you can make an educated voting decision and help explain these initiatives to others.  Experts on each initiative will be present, and so should you!  Don't miss it.  These are vitally important to our state.
